What are Dermapen™ treatments?

Is the treatment painful?

Traditional derma roller techniques are often bloody and painful requiring a topical anesthetic cream (TLA) should be applied prior to treatment. How do I prepare my skin for a Dermapen™ treatment

How many treatments are recommended for rejuvenation, treatment of acne scars, stretch marks and pigmentation?

Rejuvenation*: 3-6 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Acne scars: 4-6 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Stretch marks : 4-8 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Pigmentation: 4-6 treatments at 2-4 week intervals

*Superficial skin rejuvenating treatments are recommended at 4 week intervals.

How soon after using injectables can I have a Dermapen™ treatment?

Although there is no evidence that Dermapen™ treatments use certain injectables it is important that you let your healthcare provider know if you have had or plan to have an injection treatment in the near future. Your practitioner can advise you on when you can schedule your treatment.

How long will it take before I can see results?

You should normally see results after the first treatment. Lasting and clearer results will be visible after 3 to 6 treatments (at 2-8 week intervals). Your skin's condition will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a series of treatments, especially when accompanied by recommended pre- and post-treatment care.

Is my daily life affected for some time after the treatments?

Normally not, but you may have a red face for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Applying the Cover Recover™ will camouflage and heal the skin so that you can immediately resume your daily activities.
