What are Dermapen™ treatments?

The Dermapen 4™ is the biggest breakthrough of the last decade bringing the most advanced needle cartridge innovation is applied to penetrate the skin vertically using tiny needles. Is the treatment painful?

Traditional derma roller techniques are often bloody and painful requiring a topical anesthetic cream (TLA) should be applied prior to treatment. How do I prepare my skin for a Dermapen™ treatment

How many treatments are recommended for rejuvenation, treatment of acne scars, stretch marks and pigmentation?

Rejuvenation*: 3-6 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Acne scars: 4-6 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Stretch marks : 4-8 treatments at 6-8 week intervals
Pigmentation: 4-6 treatments at 2-4 week intervals

*Superficial skin rejuvenating treatments are recommended at 4 week intervals.

How soon after using injectables can I have a Dermapen™ treatment?

While there is no evidence that Dermapen™ treatments can interfere with certain injectables, it's important to inform your practitioner if you have had an injectable treatment or plan to have one in the near future. Your practitioner can advise you on when to schedule your treatment.

How long before I see results?

You'll typically see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more pronounced results will become visible after 3 to 6 treatments (at 2-8 week intervals). Your skin's condition will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a series of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended pre- and post-treatment care.

Will my daily life be affected for some time after the treatments?

Normally not, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Applying Cover Recover™ will camouflage and heal the skin, allowing you to immediately resume your daily activities.

Consult your practitioner before proceeding with a Dermapen treatment if you are pregnant, taking blood thinners, or have keloids. The Dermapen treatment is not suitable for keloid scars, active problematic skin conditions such as advanced solar keratosis, prominent moles/warts, and eczema or psoriasis.
